Aaron Dunkerton was admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland as a Solicitor in 2014. He spent over a decade working at the Queensland Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions. Aaron was called to the Bar in 2018 and appointed the Principal Crown Prosecutor of Cairns in 2022. Aaron regularly appeared as Counsel in the Supreme and District Courts prosecuting complex and notable cases, including trials for murder, sexual and other serious violence, drug trafficking, and property offending.
At the private bar, he is a member of Trinity Chambers in Cairns. He accepts briefs in criminal law, domestic violence matters, inquests and commissions of inquiry, regulatory matters and family law.
Aaron accepts briefs throughout Queensland, in federal and state jurisdictions.
